My name is Sasha; I was born in Venezuela. Moroccan/Colombian/Cuban/Turkish background, now living in Australia I am a continuous celebration of nationalities and cultures.
I graduated from a bachelor of Graphic Design and During my years studying I realised that being part of the visual communication collective is a big social responsibility; designers, photographers and any other visual media practitioners have a huge influence in the people and the world we live in. I think that the most important part of being a communicator is to understand that this practice has to be ethically embraced, and i will always aim to vent the gained knowledge from my great lecturers, teachers and classmates to a positive way of improving awareness of societies, cultures and helping the environment around me.
My favourite photographer of all times, is Phyllis Galembo, i find her work fascinating and she is my major source of inspiration, her photographs are visually outstanding but what makes them so special for me is her defined purpose of captivating all this ancient rituals and celebrations around the world to document and leave behind a visual legacy.
Traveling and learning keeps me going and an opportunity like this will add new flavours to my photography in a unique way by experiencing a cultural change and expanding my growing process. In this moment I have a strong curiosity and passion for knowledge, so I'm looking forward to being exposed to new challenges by learning from the most talented. I will be proud to represent World Nomads in this beautiful journey.
