Istanbul - Turkey

The Yeni Camii known as the New Mosque was built in the 1600s next to the Bosphorus River and Galata Bridge. The site of the Mosque was built in an originally poor area where residents were paid to move. The Ottoman mosque is characterised by a cascade of domes and two miranets.
