Journey into the Moroccan Sahara

In June 2011, I went with a group of friends and other Arabic students on a camel ride into the Sahara, departing from Merzouga. The journey to the Berber camp where the travelers spend the night is a two hour camel ride in the hot sun along a winding path discernible only to the Berber guides.
