A little bit of culture

PERU | Saturday, 17 November 2012 | Views [203]

Ok, so had a minor disagreement with a brick on Wednesday evening which was pretty damned painful and which kept me awake :(So spent most of the day on Thursday trying to aviid the sand onmy toe and the sun on my legs and upper back which got burnt :S Travelled all day Friday from Punta Sal south to Huanchaco via the Lord of Sipan museum in Lambayeque. Its pretty much the Peruvian equivalent of the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. Set off this morning for Chan Chan - a huge city in the desert built by a pre-Inca civilisation over 16km big. Then onto the Temple of the Moon built by the Mochica (who are also responsible for the Lord of Sipan tomb) and after a wee bit of shopping back to campsite. Chilled out by the sea in the sunshine with Cebiche de Pescado (raw fish cured with lime juice and garlic) and a Pisco Sour (cocktail with pisco -grape brandy). Currently chilling out around the fire having a beer.....its a hard life really ;)
