My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I have been taking photos for a few years now as a hobby. I have always loved to look at the landscapes (city and country) and take them. There is a challenge to capture what you see through your camera. I love the beauty around us and love to capture that as best I can to hang photos in my office. I look at them and can steal moments of my office day escaping to the places in the photos. I should be chosen because I am able to see many angles of a photo, sometimes the generic, sometimes abstract; but I can capture an image that is capable of taking people there; without ever having actually been themselves. What I would gain is another life experience and a chance to learn more photographic perspectives to help convey a story about a location. I would also return with images that would be capable of transporting others to experience vicariously another location. This is what I love to observe when people look at my photos. You can see them dream of the location and can almost touch it through my photos.
