hello friends, am now back state side. i had a great trip. really fun iwth sis at end. will mention acouple places here to check out if you are in the region. beyond what is already talked about. real good vegetarian buffet in george town. is east side of police station on street to komtur. is signed as such. north of ao nong bay off of hiway 4. there are two places. youll need your own transport of some kind. one is a river that comes through the mt becoming a very clear stream. lovely. little pay to enter board walk. then not too many k past that on west side of road is sign for cave. Klang cave very few k off hiway. is worth visiting. very large. there is a guide to hire with headlamps. impressive. also it is a community based enterprise for encouraging tourism and hopfully income for the local community. there is a small sign just at entrance to road leads to hill behind rubber plantaion. up at koh sok NP we stayed at 'our jungle house' a lovely place eco friendly. lots of gh in 'town' by park entrance. this on way off down dirt road near little creek. we enjoyed phetchaburi. good mrkt soem sights and fun to wander town looking at the Myriad of wats.
biking thailand is easiest in terms of signage and shoulders. Laos and Cambodia difficult riding there are numerous roads under 'destruction' which will one day be good new raods. hopfulyl with a shoulder. hot drink lots of water. have fun with any of it :)
