left just as getting light enough. take while to find some breakfast along the way. see shops but none ready, often at this time water for noodle soup, the usual isnt hot enough yet. We’ve been told this some few times. several little road side 'stores', tables with various slabs of meat veg small places. eventually a spot we could get stir fried rice. tasty as per usual. serve little slices of cucumber. at lunch time often get little bowl of broth as a starter.
hills gradually steeper. lovely countryside ridges closing in and we wound though some valleys between. not too many really steep parts most of the way. stop at little rest area spot with informational boards re forests. pretty setting. Keith has a coffee self serve, jars of coffee tea ovaltine. two kinds sugar and creamer powder. then leave the money. there is an attendant wandering about too. toward end steeper on over ridge to town way! down in valley. better coming up other side not so steep. glad. going down now easy for me at that angle. K just zooms. met a Thai cycle tourist just as entering town. few motels as coming to center. glad to find nice one. just at town edge a jam of traffic. get into room 2 so out to eat first. wander mkt after. a sparse one but find things i want anyway. sticky rice in bamboo tube, the black rice kind. and rice cakes without sugar on it. plus of course the papaya :) take while get to find cyber one i see they say no only gaming. this one no attendant around for while. mostly they all look at me and snicker. young kids and dont want interact. finally one did. have to put in password they give you. anyway here for night. onward to hmmmm spelling phue rua memory of name fails me. glad we dont have long distances and finding accommodations! chiller again with elevation i suppose but hot afternoon. feel happy able be doing the miles and hills. proud of myself. tried pix yesterday, didnt load after i got them each on the page grrrr
