Standing in front of Notre Dame, I found this man feeding birds with crumbled bread crumbs. And although there are likely many other people doing this same thing throughout the city, his stillness of hand and steady gaze spoke volumes to me about the things we love about our cities. This man loves the city's life, these birds love the offered nourishment, and I love the beauty of this small moment in a big city.
