It's Singapore and the Chinese New Year. Everyone is on holiday for an extended four day weekend and there are red lanterns, fireworks and snakes everywhere. It would appear that some people are not very happy because it is the year of the snake. The poor thing seems to be the least popular of the zodiac animals!!
Last night we watched an incredible rehearsal of the Firework display which is to be shown at midnight tonight over Marina Bay. Tonight China Town will be crowded with people looking round the hundreds if stalls and watching the various dance and theatre productions.
