Monaragala is the major corn producing district of Sri Lanka. And the majority of the people here are corn farmers. Rain is a crucial factor for the cultivation. Both drought and heavy rains can damage the crop. Here this farmer is worried about the inadequacy of rainwater for his cultivation since that is what keeps his family fed.
