Besides being a haven for a wide variety of flora and fauna, people have inhabited only a few of the islands and most of the people were born there. This fisherman had just come to shore with his daily catch of Yellow Fin Tuna. At his side, an anxious Sea Lion, Pelican, and other birds wait for a taste of scraps. The local restaurant owners also line up to get their first choice of the freshest fish.

The infamous and monogamous Blue-Footed Booby tries to impress and court its mate with a lengthy, instinctual dance. He begins by strutting around “showing off” his dazzling blue feet and follows that by presenting nesting material. This Booby is demonstrating “sky-pointing,” which is a common move the males use to impress the females.

The Sally Lightfoot Crabs are everywhere on the Galapagos Archipeligo. These brightly colored crustaceans swiftly move across the variety of landscapes the islands offer making them hard to capture.
