The final leg of an amazing adventure......
24/10 - Longest day ever! And 25/10
Checked out of the hostel and caught the 10am shuttle to the airport. Took an hour to get there as we ended up circling the city one and a half times. Got there eventually at 11 after the driver nearly killed us by going through a red light while cars were still coming the other way. Got there in one piece, thankfully. Checked in for my flight and then the long wait to finally get home began. The flight from Sydney to LA took 13 hours and because of crossing the international date line I landed in LA before I had left Sydney! After 6 hours in LA airport it was time to get on the plane home, yay!! 9 and a half hours later I was in England. There was another plane on our stand when we landed so we had to spend 20 mins sitting in the plane not being able to get off. Finally off of the plane and then through customs to the fun of waiting at baggage reclaim. It didn't take as long as I thought it would which was good because then I got to go and find my parents quicker. There was a nice surprise in that Mark was there too and Mum had a balloon for me.
So it is really all over now. Back in England not knowing where or when my next adventure will be. I have had the most amazing time and seen and done some things I never thought I would. I have met some lovely people along the way and hopefully will be able to see some of them again. Thanks to everyone for making it so memorable. I will enjoy reading this back in years to come and revisiting all the memories.
