We left Kota Kinabalau and headed for Kudat by what can only described as either an ex military, or an ex convict bus posing as public transportation. Three hours of noise and crunching gears went by extremely slowly until we finally reached Kudat. From here we hopped in a 4x4 and headed towards our accomodation at the tip of Borneo. The tip of Borneo has a similar feel to it as a small outback town, with friendly locals around, little to do and lots of peace and quiet.
We have spent several days recovering here, mainly swimming, relaxing on the beach, reading books, eating good local food and watching a few nice sunsets.
Tomorrow we head to Sepilok for a few days of jungle trekking and most excitingly for Tash, animal spotting .
