We treated Phuket like a holiday, mainly relaxing in the pool, eating and taking time to reorganise ourselves after several days in the jungle. We were lucky to catch up with our friends Gemma and Darren who were over for their friends wedding and swapped stories of travel (they had been away for a year recently in South America and India) over drinks and some nice food. After few days in a nice hotel we are back to the 'daily grind' with a big day of travel planned to cross the border into Malaysia hopefully making it to the foodie destination of Malaysia, Penang.
