My name is Rukman Sadikin, a 27-year-old man who loves exploring the world because of my curiosity to see the beauty of the world. I was actually a shy and coward man, maybe not in the classification to be an adventurer nor to be the real man. But I'm trying to capture every moment of my adventures through my camera lens because I think every adventure has a story and meaning itself.
I describe the story of my adventures through my hobby as a traveler. I do lot of trips in Indonesia, such as Cimaja, Pangandaran, and Ujung Kulon (West Java), Belitong Island, Bali, and many more. During the trip, I found much moments that I didn't found it in my daily life, such as traditional culture and community habit of each place. I strongly believe real knowledge of other cultures is the key to understanding and respecting our fellow human beings. You don’t have to like them, but at least give them a chance to show you what they are all about. I also enjoy the scenery of each place in my country, well known as an archielago, which has lots of mountains, islands, and beaches.
Every place has its own characteristics and would be more memorable if I capture those moments through my camera. If I open my photo portfolio, I will memorize places where I have been visited and see how beautiful it is when you see the perfect picture captured on my camera. I often take times to enjoy the uniqeness of each place and grab it. Such experience foster my passion in photography. I do love photography because I think I can tell my experiences through the picture. I like to share it to everyone. So, when people see my picture, they can also feel the ambience from my pictures.
I have a dream to travel around the world. Until now, I have visited Asia for travel such as Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Big passion for me to reach another part of the world. My hobby as a traveler, my passion as photographer, and my soul as an adventurer brings me to enjoy each moment of my life. Those are how I live my life.
Traveling is the best education life can give you and you can give yourself. It builds character, knowledge, and educates you about who you are. Just like Saint Augustine said: ”The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.”
