This weekend had me finishing setting up house - yes, I would now call it my home! Going out for dinner with two Japanese mates and venturing to Kada with fellow native English speaking teachers.
Dinner was delicious. Although I still can't eat anything with eyes (ie a whole small fish that has been slightly fried). Raw fish is fine especially salmon with advocardo wrapped in fried tofu - yummo or should I say oishi!
While exploring Kada a Japanese fisherman asked us if we wanted to go for a 1 hour cruise around the islands. Readily agreeing we all jumped aboard his boat and went for a ride. It was gorgeous and I could have stayed on there for MUCH longer. We were shown an area that had been bombed by the Americans (which the Japanese chap told us using only Japanese - sign language is a fabulous thing!), saw a sacred site and a place where the sea eagles nest - relatively untouched.
We all then went and found food - this time I had curry udon. Ah, if I continue to eat like I have been I think I'll end up rolling around rather than walking. The food over here is GREAT!
