«Old Buddha statues, Luang Prabang, Laos» Luang Prabang, Laos, December 2012. A collection of old Buddha statues can be found in Wat Xieng Thong. Only one of these statues keeps the original golden colour. This is the most magnificent buddhist temple in Luang Prabang with a beautiful and unique architecture and decoration.

«Phu Si, Luang Prabang, Laos»
Luang Prabang, Laos, December 2012.
Phu Si is a 100m high hill in the centre of Luang Prabang. After climbing 328 stairs, we reach the summit of the hill, where we find Wat Chom Si, a Buddhist temple, which is one of the main attactions of this old town. The gilded stupa of Wat Chom Si seems to be looking at the sky.

«A fisherman on the Mekong river, Laos»
Mekong river, Laos, December 2012. A fisherman is working while we were sailing the Mekong up on a slow boat, from Luang Prabang to the border with Thailand. Many Lao people, like this fisherman, depend on the Mekong to live.
