thailand is amazing - i know thats trite - but its impossible really to put into words how amazing it really is - there are those moments when you are traveling like when you see the david or the eiffel(sp?) tower when you feel the tears welling up and today on ko samet i had one of those moments - it could have been the staying up all hours with buckets of drink, the clear blue ocean that is always the perfect temp., the dancing, the karoake, the 6 dollar thai massage on the beach, the stray dog that we named Jeff that a british bloke i now know brought back to the bungalow i was staying in and then who ate my beach mat out from under me as i slept (the dog not steward), but it was on the ferry just now back to ban phe, with the sun shining down through the clouds into the ocean created strems of light and the men on a fisherboat waved and clapped as another new friend (a canadian woman) played her guitar and sang one of her songs -
i have many many bug bites, and my feet are all cut up (lost my shoes somewhere last night), but life feels pretty phenomenal right now - homework and lesson plans to do around the pool back on the beach tomorrow and then another week at the temple - woo hoo!
still haven't heard about my placement...and my cell phone gets calls but i can't call out - and i would love to give out the number since hearing from people back home would be quite awesome (as homesickness tends to creep in) but alas, i can't remember the number!
much love, sawai dii ka
