My Scholarship entry - From dream to reality...

The quest for knowledge, eagerness to travel and the love for photography define who I am and what I do. Travelling is a way to grow, an opportunity to learn and not just a physical activity for me. The interest in travelling was kindled from my love of reading. Through books I travelled to far and wide places and the desire to physically experience them grew within me. In the past 5 years I have travelled more than ever. Coming in touch with new people, experiences and places has changed me as a person. I have pointed cameras at strangers who have frowned initially, but smiled when I have shown them the result. I hunger for more such experiences. Initially wildlife as my subject, I have grown to like landscape, architecture and candid photography. These have transcended into my love for travel photography.

I am Rohit Pansare, 26 years old, a traveller, photographer and explorer. I want to be able to share my experiences and inspire people. My travel stories and images should be able to achieve this. And until they do, I will continue to travel, explore and grow. The scholarship would bring my life-long dream of exploration, travel and photography a step closer to reality.
