30th of January 2008 - Arrived in Bariloche, Argentina. My flight on American airlines was a shocker - 12 hours, no music, no movies and crusty old flight attendants who weren´t interested in doing their jobs! Bariloche is a small town, halfway between Buenos Aires and the bottom of Argentina. It´s a beautiful town, kind of a blend or rocky mountains, noos and a small town in Austria. There is a German/Swiss influence and so a lot of the architecture has a European flavour, and the town is famous for chocolates and Fondue, hiking in Summer and Skiingin winter.
30th Jan to 16th Feburary: Completed 2 weeks of Spanish lessons. So far, I feel comfortable to ask (in Spanish)for a medium rare steak a red wine, and the bill. I can also say cat and dog. So, much more learning to go (just not sure where).
Bariloche: Beautiful mountains and lakes, great chocolate, cheap steak, Lots of stray dogs.
Pics to come.
