The area surrounding the town of Gennadi, the southern-most town on Rhodes, is littered with silent shells of unfinished buildings, reclaimed mostly by tough, prickly weeds. The area had suffered a notable decrease of investment in recent years, leaving these monoliths towering over the fields that probably would have been home to the once growing community of British expatriate retirees.
