The King has pumped a lot of money into making the medical system in Thailand a good one. I guess because he is a doctor so it has been one of the pet projects of the royal family.
Either way, going to the Dentist here probably saved me a few thousand dollars. I went to get my teeth cleaned and had some other work done that had been bothering me for years. (I am cavity free too). The entire visit cost me as much as I spend on a monthly subway pass in New York. And the Dentist did a better job than I've had done at home.
With no health insurance for the last few years and even more years since I went to the Dentist that medical visit basically made the cost of my flight and room more than worth it. Thank you King!
