About richworld

David Rich is an intrepid writer, braving blizzards, monsoons, desert heat and State Department travel advisories to visit the world's most out-of-the-way places from the Karakoram Mountains in Pakistan to the wilds of Borneo to the Harley-Davidson Rally Week in Sturgis, South Dakota.

David retired in his forties to become a full-time international traveler, an occupation he finds far preferable to his former professions of law professor and trial lawyer, from which he says he’s now "mostly recovered."

He has pursued freelance travel writing and exotic travel for eightteen years, living so far in more than 140 countries. However, with 191 countries in the United Nations (and 202 at the Olympics) he’s barely halfway through the list. He says he has "sold everything" and "was classically homeless," making the fatal mistake of buying a house in 2009. Generally see http://www.gonomad.com/corp/davidrich.html and his 9 websites with stories and photos covering the last ten years of travel at http://mytripjournal.com/RichWorld, or his latest book, "RV the World" at http://www.amazon.com/RV-World-David-Rich/dp/1449569137/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1287254960&sr=1-1
