We left our secluded little bay around 1130 with two other Aussies, two Swedes and a German, as well as some resort staff, keen for a round trip of the island. The little red fishing boat wasn't well covered, so the down side was that we all got sunburnt, even after slip slop slap! bah, feeling the impact 2 days later.
We stopped at five sites around the island, some better than others, the highlights were the 'Japanese Garden' which had a lot of False Clown Fish, and Mango Bay, which was warm, quite shallow, but a lot to see. All sites had a lot of other fish, obviously used to being fed, so they were buzzing around very close, even giving us an occaisional nip, which tickled. We saw a few Black Tip Reef Sharks as well, but smallish and they didn't want to play with us. Beautiful scenery all around the island!
Back for coconut shakes and beers in the evening, great day! But we were lucky, the days before and after we've had quite a lot of rain, so now we've decided to move on, back to Bangkok and further north, to Chiang Mai.
More photos soon!
