"Hey, there you go!" Yayan, my friend from China was pointing at the 2 pelicans resting an a dead tree in Creery Island, just a stone throw away from Mandurah. The red sea-grass of the island grows on shallow water, inundated by seawater most of the time, providing a breeding ground for prawns and other marine species as well as a sanctuary for migratory bird species visiting from as far as Siberia to feed.
