The American flag is the best form of memorial Americans have. It is flown in every state in the country, at nearly every home in the country, and is known by everyone for what it has gone through: wars both foreign and domestic, conflicts and bloodshed. It stands still today as a testament to a people and their ideals of freedom and justice for all.
