Aiming High

The holy soil in which wrestlers fight in is dredged from river and mixed with ghee and water which is also said to be healthy for them. Additionally, covering their bodies in it also helps the wrestlers have a better grip during the bouts.

Hello,

My name is Yannick Martin. My brother and myself are two french independents filmmakers based in Paris - FRANCE.
We are coming this summer in India and plan to film a music video for a french band.

Because of that, we are looking for entering in contact with a nice place of Kushti with clay on the floor, ideally in Mumbay, Pune or Kolhapur, and would like to know if we could get some help from you about it as we would like to be able to film 2 persons fighting/training in there.

1- Do you have any contact you could share with us please to be able to speak with someone there already and prepare our project of film.
We plan to film in July?
2- Could you tell us the name and direction of some very nice Kushti places (with clay on the floor), in Bombay, Kolhapur or Pune please?
3- Do you also have the contact of person that could speak english in Kushti, to be able to explain them our project.

We let you on this first contact.
We are looking for hearing about you.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.

Kinds Regards.
Yan & Nico

All the best.
