    Out here, where there are no roads, is where you would normally expect to see wildlife, such as bears. After hiking along the entire, 40 mile long, Teton Crest Trail in four days in the backcountry, not a single bear was seen. Are we somehow enticing our bears to choose the roadsides instead, where they are so much less safe? by: rangerbobbie Views[419] Grizzly 760 followed in his Mom’s footsteps and chose to forage along the roadsides in the park, until he got himself trapped and relocated within the state. A few weeks later, he was put down by Wyoming Game & Fish after supposedly feasting on a hunter’s kill that hadn’t been properly hung. by: rangerbobbie Views[415] Grizzly 399’s adult cub Grizzly 610 gave birth to her second set of cubs over the winter of 2013/2014. She already lost one to natural causes, when she appeared with this COY. A couple of days later, as tourists and photographers were crowding them along the roadside to the point of panic, she chased her cub up a tree, and then later abandoned it, allowing it to perish. by: rangerbobbie Views[452] As the cubs get more and more accustomed to humans over time, they get more and more courageous in their pursuit of easy food sources and begin to get themselves in trouble. by: rangerbobbie Views[451]
