Accettura

My Scholarship entry - Voyage through South Italy

Italy | Sunday, November 23, 2014 | 5 photos

Accettura is a small village in Basilicata (South Italy). During the Patron saint’s festival, S. Giuliano, they celebrate an arboreal rite that link up religion and paganism. Oxen wear on their heads holy pictures, they trail a big tree from the top of the mountain to the centre village.

I shooted these pics on June 2014 (Nikon d3100). Enjoy it!
