    Eleanor glances over at Roger as he sleeps. There are limited options when Roger is bedridden, leaving him using diapers. As time passes it becomes more and more difficult for Eleanor and the aides that help out to keep up with Roger's hygiene and the demands of his condition. by: rachelwoolf Views[1274] Due to his condition, aides provided by the Longview community will come into their apartment and help Eleanor with Roger. Particularly, they will help get him in and out of bed, or if he is unable to get out of bed, they will help change his diapers. by: rachelwoolf Views[615] Roger lies in bed as Eleanor washes clothes in the bathroom. Eleanor didn't want to put Roger in a nursing home or be away from him. She felt it was important for her to take care of him to the best of her abilities. by: rachelwoolf Views[661] Roger and Eleanor Barnard (not pictured) live in Longview, a residential senior retirement community located in Ithaca, NY. Roger, 86, has suffered from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's since 1992.
