Marc arrived in the new posh St Pancras station off the Eurostar from Paris; sporting only a small 15kg bag full of expensive medicine. We caught the London underground to Seven Sister’s to meet Devi in the rain outside the tube station (happily, the last time we will see drizzle for 2 whole months J ). We go Devi’s place and spend a nice evening over wine and wii Mario kart. The next morning we got up really early to get back to EG (East Grinstead, Jacqui’s parents place) in time for Marc’s appointment at the osteopath. On the way to the tube station, Jacqui insists Marc must try a traditional English "hangover" breakfast of a fried egg and bacon butty (sandwich) from a greasy London café. We catch the tube (metro) to London Victoria. It was very crowded full of suits going to work and us squashed in the corner with Marc’s backpack. We get out in Vicotria station to find we just missed a train so to pass half an hour we go to Buckingham palace (in the rain) and laugh at the guards standing outside in their full costume inside their little stupid guard houses. We went back to Victoria station to try to catch the train to EG but we went to the wrong platform, our tickets wouldn’t let us through the machine and then we find there are two trains on the same platform, as we try to get into the first one we saw it was the second train… and it was already leaving the station. So we wait ANOTHER half an hour to finally catch a train.
Marc goes for his at the oestopath to get straightened out and then we go home and have a chilled out day and then watched a four hour long, epic, bollywood movie, :o , to get us in the mood for India.
