This will happen often, I'm sure.

I, alas, am not going to Paris this week with Jeni. We did not reserve the train far enough in advance.

Instead, I am going to Basel, Switzerland, by myself for a few days (leaving tomorrow). Eeep!

First real step out of the nest. I'll be fine. Have my train schedules and a reservation @ the YMCA hostel in Basel.

The dollar seems to be much better against the Swiss Franc, but I don't know that anything will be cheaper there... we can only hope.

I will still be coming back to Jeni's next week to pick up some mail, and then I'll be off again! May be flying to Spain (but I wouldn't take my word for it) =p

Paris can wait.

Please don't forget to send me pictures when you do make it to Paris. We discussed this in detail, so I am sure you wont forget.

We will have to do Paris at the end of summer... maybe in August? :D Can't wait! We can have delicious Paris food mmmm even better than schnitzel.

I don't know. I really liked the Schnitzel. And I might be a little more partial to German food... yeah, I know, I have no taste, but I like what I like. =)

I love Basel, and I love Switzerland. And if you're really adventurous you can drive from one to the other - I did it about 9 years ago..... Just rent one of those really tiny cars ;-)
