Nearing the end

Our last day in Marrakesh we visit the Saadian Tombs then head towards the Marrakesk museum- however the usual helpful local tells us it is closed for renovation ; which we know is not true as some of our group went yesterday. He says he will take us to the tanneries- that's ok we don't mind seeing them and we are lost anyway! So this guide hands us on to another who takes us right thru first the Berber tanneries doing goats and camel skin and then the Arab. Ones doing the sheep skins- we had been given the Berber gas mask of the mint leaves to help with the stench but all was good and interesting . We of course ended up with the salesman in the leather shop as you do! Got away and into another crazy petite taxi (old fiat) with crazy driver again. Mike will miss the calls of 'hello moustache look in my shop'' or 'hey Ali Barber look' !!!! Not!!!! Very friendly sales people. Caught the 'Marrakech Express' to Casablanca- left the red city for the white city and had a 4 Star hotel booked. Enjoyed a lovely dinner. In the morning walked down to the seaside to the huge mosque we had seen several weeks before - it's very impressive. The airport checking time wS beckoning and we arrived at Mohammed V int airport for our flight to Dubai. Caught up with 2 of the families we had toured with, the girls had lovely henna designs on their hands. Off to Dubai arriving at 2.20am local time - good fun but at least taxis were plentiful and roads fairly quiet on our arrival- great flight-28degrees at 3am!!!
