    The seperation wall built around Bethlehem and other Palestinian areas of the West Bank is a source of annoyance and pain for residents of these areas. A walk around the wall is an opportunity to see some beautiful pro-Palestine graffiti. This photograph was taken of some of this graffiti on the seperation wall and I incorporated a nearby barbed wire fence into the picture to symbolise the feelings of imprisonment being expressed in the graffiti. by: pryan Views[533] The eternal divide. The wall is a sacred place for Jews but even here it is impossible to ignore the great Muslim interest in this city. As night falls and both Jews and tourists visit, the Dome on the Rock stands proudly beyond the wailing wall. by: pryan Views[230] It is an amazing sight at the end of Shabbat to see hundreds of Jewish people flocking the Wailing Wall to pray silently. They are joined by stony faced security forces and bemused looking tourists. This tourist was standing on the opposite side of the security fence surrounding the wall area, watching proceedings. I took the picture as I loved the expression on his face coupled with his pose, and also I love the way the light filtering through the fence strikes the subject. (feat. Simon O'Meara) by: pryan Views[251] The Jewish people are very proud of their religion and it has resulted in a very close and sometimes self centered community. In this picture I captured men celebrating at the wailing wall, I tried to capture their attention focussed on the religious site and their backs turned to me the outsider. by: pryan Views[301] There is a sense of history and importance on every corner in the Old City of Jerusalem. There are religious symbols and paraphernalia in front of you at every, each side staking a claim. This picture is of a star of David drawn with chalk on a wall in an alley in the Old City. I focused on the star and left the people in the background as blurred silhouettes, to symbolise how in this country, and this city in particular, religion is considered more important than people. by: pryan Views[226]
