(3) Exploration and wonder abound both in the city and outside its limits. Only a short drive out of town, hot springs serve as both a social mecca and a secluded getaway. Just a few springs over, a gregarious group converses while this woman found quiet company with the sun and geothermal water. Clothing is, of course, optional.

(1) One of the greatest characteristics of Missoula, MT is that, no matter who you are, you are never out of place there. “Zootown”, as it is affectionately called, is not so unlike a zoo with regards of the colorful personalities and wide diversity of people you may find. The major difference being that no one is caged in Missoula, and there is a lot of cage-free living to be done. Almost a part of the sky himself, the runner in this photo barrels down the slope of the popular “M-trail” adjacent to the University of Montana Campus. Fitness and freedom are a significant part of the culture in Missoula.

(3) Missoula is intertwined with several beautiful rivers. Though famous for its fly fishing, the Clark Fork River that bisects the town draws a constant flow of thrill-seeking bridge jumpers. This particular jumper looks strikingly serene in spite of the exhilaration that the experience delivers. He and his friends were visiting students in town for a swimming competition, but it didn’t take them long to blend right in with native “Missoulians” at the river.
