Women from three generations share a leisurely afternoon, weeding out hair lice from each others hair. They share stories and news from the morning household chores and take turns to catch a few winks.

Love this picture. When I was in Asia the maids would condition my hair every week, and many an afternoon was spent with me idly relaxing on my patio, while they combed my hair and applied aromatic oils to it!

Farming is essential to sustain a family in these communities. Here, women from different families sow rice together. This period is intensive in terms of agricultural work. Families assist each other with the work, and share a meal together at the end of the day.
