    We do it ourselves! From growing our food to building our houses - these mountain communities find small ways to be self sufficient. Here, the entire village comes together to help in the completion of a new house. Obviously, everyone will be a part of the celebrations as well once it is completed! by: prerna Views[165] Farming is essential to sustain a family in these communities. Here, women from different families sow rice together. This period is intensive in terms of agricultural work. Families assist each other with the work, and share a meal together at the end of the day. by: prerna Views[210] Women from three generations share a leisurely afternoon, weeding out hair lice from each others hair. They share stories and news from the morning household chores and take turns to catch a few winks. by: prerna Views[767]
