My Scholarship entry - A village of potters in a metropolis
India | Monday, November 24, 2014 | 5 photos
Till the age of 18 years, I had never handled a camera. During my schooling days for completion of academics, I registered for photography out of obligation rather than interest. But as they say, one thing leads to another my camera became my most reliable companion.
My photography deals with people and their way of living. The perspective through the viewfinder always teaches me the power of self determination and living life to the fullest.
Being an engineering professional, travel for work is part of my routine. Photography has helped me bond with different cultures, traditions, people and places as it helps me keep in touch with them through my images. Whenever I am depressed or low, images of people with their joy and content smile make me invigorated and ready to face the challenge with enthusiasm and belief. Through my photographs I want to portray the joys of life that make this world a better place.
I accidentally heard about this scholarship when surfing through the internet. It will be big boost to my dream of pursing photography as a full time career instead of just being a hobbyist. This scholarship will help me hone my skills to take my photography to new heights.
