Biiiiig stones in Cusco

Hola guys...

thank you for all the comments!  Keep them flowing!  I wasn't looking forward to leaving Arequipa and the Colca Canyon for another big city, Cusco.  We got up early, 4.30 am for the flight to Cusco... Arequipa was so beautiful in the predawn light... all those volcanos... the snow on the mountains.  But it is sooo dry!

One of the girls in the group forgot she had a penknife in her bag and was held up at security... so one of the guys offered to take her other bag and wait for her before getting on the plane.  When we got on the plane we discovered that someone else's bag (not our group) had been taken at security.  Later we discovered that in the confusion the guy in our group had taken the bag thinking it belonged to the girl with the penknife.  Much confusion, a few laughs and some returned bags later... the situation was resolved.

Cusco is a very gringo city... amazingly big Inca stonework in the city.  A great feel... some really good food too.  We stayed a couple of nights in Cusco with the Inca trail in between... what an experience!  So now, to write about that.... before breakfast! (Damn these strange Spanish keyboards!).

Ciao...
