I love classical music. I’m not like a lot of people my age…I prefer drinking wine and having dinner with a few friends to partying and doing a keg-stand. So yesterday, I went to the Boletaria at San Martin Theatre in Cordoba and bought myself a ticket to the performance by the London Festival Orchestra. I wasn’t allowed to videotape…but I have a hard time following rules. So I caught some of it on tape. The music was beautiful; it was like tasting the sweetest honey but for my ears (if that makes sense?). I even cried at one point. There was one piece in particular that really “struck a chord” with me. It reminded me of my life. The oboe was me going through the ups and downs of being on my own throughout a lot of things. The name of the piece is Adagio by Alessandro Marcello (oboe). The song is posted above along with a photo of the theatre.
