I'm Ellen. I am happiest when I'm travelling and try to do so as much as possible. It is fantastic to experience other countries and cultures, and to learn from that. There is so much more than just your own backyard. I am travelling independently for over 10 years now for longer periods (from 3 months to 1 year) and many shorter holidays (up to 5 weeks).
My travels brought me to numerous countries and cities, experiencing great adventures along the way (from swimming with manta-rays in Australia to riding elephants in Laos, from walking between aligators in Brazil and living out of a van for months in Australia to horseriding in Mongolia).
I teared up at Iguacu, was blown away by Macchu Picchu, became silent at Angkor Wat, felt humble at Mount Everest.
Favorite Cities: Sydney, Cusco, Barcelona, Antwerp, Rio, Luang Prabang, Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur, Fremantle, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Lhasa. Favorite counties: Australia, Brazil, Laos, Japan, Tibet, Mongolia. Music: gypsy music and a spanisch guitar and everything that makes me feel good and swings (which is a lot). People: my friends. Drink: Liptonice by day and Bailey's by night. Food: an ordinary bag of chips, chocolate, Asian, Italian and Mexican. Roadtrip: basically every trip that brings me places, but nr. 1 is the outback of Oz. Instruments: violin, accordeon, sax, spanisch guitar. Language: Spanisch. Time of year: summer. Animal: tiger.
