There are no fancy kitchens in this house, the family makes do with a few bowls and woks beside disused train tracks to prepare their meals and clean their belongings.

Being poor means that children make the most of what is available around them. Tired and hungry after a long day it’s time for a quick rest for this little boy before continuing the journey home to his family and dinner.

A makeshift house among crumbling buildings and rusting trains on the outskirts of the city are the neighbourhood homes for families. Although it may seem hard and difficult in the eyes of an outsider you’ll always see a smile on their faces at the end of each day because they appreciate the simple things in life, family.
