Today was a very early start for us to get picked up by
Peter to take on the Waterfall Hike. We have heard this walk is just beautiful
and a must to do while you are here, so here we go.
And wow what a hike it was. We were real Bear Grylls wannabes
today. We climbed up side of waterfalls, hanging by ropes and walking through
the rushing water just to get to the waterfall.
I was the first to step into the waterfall, and it was so
bloody cold. But the rush of getting to the top and the view was worth every
single cold water drop that was hitting my back.
Now as it close you climb up something at a 45 degree angle
which most of the hike up was. Means in short you have to get back down the
same way you get up. So off we go bum sliding all the way back down to the
bottom. But as you know my luck is squat when it comes to things like this and
without a second to spare I slide down landing on my hand, hurting and my back.
So much for easy up and easy down Gobey said. At least it was near the end of
the hike back and I didn’t have far left to go.
Back home its a hot shower and out to the cafe in Tembag for
lunch. Not a bad having Gobey off for the day. Only thing is as everyone else
he knows is working he is like a lost dog. So after lunch he went home and I
stayed with some of the ladies to play cards.
