I was first interested in photography 2008 when I first started travelling, visiting countries such as Egypt, Cambodia and China, and mountaineering. I didn’t have a camera at the time, so bought a digital camera on my first trip to capture what I could of these remarkable and diverse places. I quickly became enthralled with photography, buying my first DSLR in 2012. Since then, I’ve learned from forum websites and research, and spent as much time as possible experimenting and testing new techniques.

I try to capture images that will convey the beauty, intrigue and emotion that drew me to photograph them. In addition to photography, my passion is travel and experiencing new and unique places, so through my photos I also aim to inspire people to travel and seek out these awe-inspiring places themselves.

My motivation to think beyond the ‘point and shoot’ and better my skills is in trying to show the best and/or truest possible portrayal of places and subjects I photograph, for those who may never be there to see them in person, to give them an opportunity to feel involved in the subject and experience it as intimately as I have by physically being there.
