One of the most beautiful natural spectacles on Earth, Katherine Gorge showed off all of her glory on the day we cruised down her waters. This shot was taken during a transition from one boat in a part of the Katherine Gorge, to another boat that would take us deeper into the Gorge.

On the body of water and surrounding marshes that is the Corroboree Billabong, where we crept through at the height of saltwater crocodile mating season, this Snakeneck Darter was found up in the Paper Gums, out its feathers and warming its body after its dive-bomb feeding.

Litchfield National Park is renowned for her tumbling waterfalls and refreshing swimming holes, however you do not have to search too far into the surrounding bush-land to find the giant creatures that live here. This giant female orb weaver and her tiny mate had snared a dragonfly in her web.
