My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

A calming moment in time to take in the early morning sunrise. I frantically tried to get down to the waters edge and into position to capture this one as heavy clouds swept across the city skyscrapers of Surfers Paradise in the background.

Whilst down at Burleigh on a lovely busy Sunday afternoon of sun and sea. I captured this little surfer dude trying to sneak up and scare the seagulls nearby, as soon as he did his hands were up for cover and he ran like crazy, typical. This image tells a good story by itself and is a good reflection of the community and family culture around Burleigh Heads.

This to me personally, is one of my very favourite shots. A completely original shot (as you can see from my horizon) I did of north Burleigh as a long exposure looking towards the southern end point where my other shots are taken from. This shot puts into perspective the raw and natural beauty around this area, and begins to show why it is so loved by the community around these parts.
