    My beachfeet on the whitest of white sand at Ma Ya bay Views[263] view from 'the beach' in Ma Ya bay Views[216] 'The Beach ' ... apparently the village scenes from the movie were shot on this island along with the beach scenes and the shark scene . the other parts were obviously shot on other islands and on the mainland .     The islands of Phi Phi were hit hard by the tsunami and upon rebuilding it seems a lot more western culture has been incorporated int o the lives of the locals ... as you can see by these speedboats in Ma Ya bay Views[243] Myself and BB hangin out in front of the national park sign in Ma Ya bay . The blue ,red and white flag is the flag of Thailand and the yellow flag represents Buddhism . You will never see one without the other Views[246] One of the things i love about the islands is that you use boats as transport a lot of the time .     Sunset on the island of Langkawi off Malaysia .
