21/12/2012 Port Lincoln

AUSTRALIA | Friday, 21 December 2012 | Views [358]

Posted some gear to WA and updated my blog. In the evening just on sunset we visited the marina to see the huge tuna boats and were invited on board the Tacoma by Ross Haldane. The Tacoma was Australia's first purpose built tuna boat. This 84 foot wooden boat was built in Port Fairy in Victoria before being brought to Port Lincoln by the Haldane family who became the pioneers of the South Australian tuna fishing industry.
