27/06/2013 Karijini NP (Dales Camp)

Headed off on a lovely walk to Fortescue Falls at the bottom of Dales Gorge, then to Fern Pool where I had a swim. This pool had a small waterfall coming into it which was actually warm!

After that I followed the very scenic route along the bottom of the gorge to Circular Pool and had another swim (this time the water was much colder) before heading up the steep track out of the gorge (including a ladder), visiting 3 Gorges Lookout then following the gorge rim back to the car park, at a very leisurely pace, taking in total about 4 hours.

There were plenty of other tourists along the way but I did check in with the campground hosts before and after my walk just for safety. Had a BBQ with Ian, Jodi and John an English guy riding a motor bike around the world. Here I learned about Hancocks Gorge and Kermit Pool in the western end of the park which I thought I would try the next day.
