06/06/2013 Warroora Station, Elle's Beach

AUSTRALIA | Thursday, 6 June 2013 | Views [2523]

Early start for a long driving day with not much to see except goats and cows wandering across and along the side of the road. Great views from the lookout at wm? then refuelled at Carnarvon and drove to Woorara station, a sheep station with 14 private beaches. Really had to step on it to get there before dark down a long corrugated dirt road. At the homestead, let tyres down to 25psi, paid fee and got mud map to Elle's Beach. Drove along the sandy tracks to Steve's Beach by accident but a kind girl escorted me to Elle's Beach and I arrived just on sunset to a lovely spot just 100 metres from waters edge with just a handful of camp sites sprinkled along the beach and designated by yellow balls on top of poles.

Pauline from Perth Hills (husband John) from the next site walked over with a torch and offered to help me set up and invite me over for a drink which I did after dinner. Mild night. Slept in car.
